James has specialised in the surveying, photogrammetry, photography and recording of historic buildings for almost 25 years. James first worked as an archaeologist and then a land surveyor for one of the largest land surveying companies in the UK. He set up James Brennan Associates in 2004.
James has been a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2001. He was a Trustee of the Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust for 3 years and also sat on the Hallam Diocese Historic Churches Committee for 4 years. He also teaches on the Essex County Council Traditional Building Skills and Conservation Courses.
